In 2014, I went to Buenos Aires, where I realized that besides leading, I also love following in tango. I discovered that this role feels more natural and intuitive for me. This was my way to learn how to lead. Thanks to contact improvisation, I became aware of how important experimentation and physical experience are in the process of learning movement.
I like to break things down into their elements, examine them, and then put them back together โ consciously. This applies to the body and to movement as well. I believe that before we start straightening, stretching, and activating the body, we should first find ourselves within the body. Thatโs when we can start searching for tango โ for me, in its most beautiful form.
In comfort and naturalness, a certain kind of beauty is born โ and thatโs the beauty I admire the most.
